We want to build on the progress we’ve already made and secure £45 million from the Department for Transport before the next Spending Review to deliver lifts and step-free access throughout the station.

We’ve already secured the first step. This campaign didn’t start today. For years, residents, local councillors and community activists have pushed for investment in Peckham Rye Station.
That campaigning has delivered real progress.
£5 million secured
We secured £5 million of investment to begin transforming Peckham Rye Station and its surroundings.
The first phase of improvements will help ease overcrowding and improve how people move through the station, including wider barriers.
The funding will help regenerate Peckham Rye Station Square, creating a better arrival point for passengers and the wider community.
The improvements will respect and preserve the historic character of this much-loved station while preparing it for the future.
But this is only the beginning.
